The Numbers Game

And a chance to get stickers!

Pulling the curtain back a bit to chat about the part of writing we all hate: numbers. I love words, creativity, the joy of writing – and numbers have the ability to steal a great deal of that love and joy. Yet numbers, specifically in terms of subscribers, do influence the world of publishing. As much as I enjoy writing on Substack and publishing freelance pieces, eventually I would love to write a book. Without getting too far into the weeds, an audience (aka subscriber numbers) is a very helpful tool in the process of nonfiction book publishing.

So here is where you, my dear readers, come into play. If you enjoy my writing, would you consider sharing it with 3 other people who might like it too? This can be individuals, church groups, social media platforms, whoever and however you prefer. Free subscribers mean the world to authors, it’s like a long-distance hug from someone who says they like what you write enough to keep reading.
